This is a mission‑critical leadership role responsible for the stability, scalability, and security of all core systems: trading platforms, wallets, infrastructure, and operational technology. You will shape the backbone of BitDelta’s global operations and ensure we deliver a platform that is always available, always reliable, and always secure.
What You’ll Lead
IT Operations Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute a scalable, secure, high‑availability IT operations strategy aligned with business growth.
- Build and lead a high‑performing IT Ops team with a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Infrastructure & Cloud Excellence
- Oversee cloud and on‑premise infrastructure across global environments.
- Ensure resilience, redundancy, and optimal resource utilisation across distributed systems.
Platform Reliability & Uptime
- Own uptime for all mission‑critical systems: trading platforms, wallet infrastructure, APIs, and internal tools.
- Implement proactive monitoring, incident prevention, and reliability engineering practices.
Trading Systems & Integrations
- Oversee performance and integration of trading platforms (e.g., MT5), liquidity bridges, and third‑party systems.
- Ensure seamless connectivity, execution speed, and operational stability.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Establish and enforce robust cybersecurity frameworks: threat detection, vulnerability management, access controls, and incident response.
- Safeguard digital assets, user data, and platform integrity.
Wallet & Blockchain Infrastructure
- Manage hot/cold wallet systems, blockchain nodes, and transaction flows.
- Ensure secure custody, fast processing, and accurate reconciliation.
DevOps, Automation & CI/CD
- Lead DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation.
- Improve deployment speed, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Monitoring, Incident Response & Data Integrity
- Implement real‑time monitoring, alerting, and incident management frameworks.
- Oversee database performance, data integrity, backups, and recovery processes.
Vendor & Regulatory Alignment
- Manage cloud providers, infrastructure partners, and technology vendors.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and audit requirements across jurisdictions.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to support delivery, system enhancements, and platform evolution.
What You Bring
- 8–12 years in IT Operations, Infrastructure, or DevOps, ideally in fintech or crypto exchanges.
- Proven leadership experience managing high‑performing technical teams.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and distributed systems.
- Experience with trading platforms, APIs, and low‑latency/high‑availability systems.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and operational risk.
- Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, wallet systems, and crypto security.
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in a 24/7, mission‑critical environment.
